Not really. Sperm is constantly produced in the testicles. Masturbation or frequent ejaculation doesn't permanently deplete your sperm reserves. However, ejaculating many times within a short span may temporarily reduce sperm concentration.

In fact, some men who ejaculate several times a day may notice a decrease in semen volume or feel more fatigued. But this doesn’t equate to infertility.

Important: Sperm takes around 64 days to fully mature. Frequent ejaculation may release immature sperm if it’s extremely excessive.

Ejaculating multiple times in a short span can temporarily reduce sperm count and semen volume, but it doesn’t lead to permanent nutrient loss or infertility. While myths suggest frequent ejaculation drains the body of protein, zinc, or calcium, studies show these losses are minimal and easily replenished through a healthy diet.

The body simply needs time to regenerate semen and mature sperm cells, which is why a brief recovery period (2–3 days) is often recommended when trying to conceive.

Importantly, this effect is not harmful in the long term. Frequent female orgasms also do not impact egg supply, ovulation, or fertility.

There are several proven medical and lifestyle causes that can kill your sperm count. It includes:

  • Varicocele: Enlarged veins in the scrotum can overheat the testicles and impair sperm production.
