One Size Does Not Fit All (Story of Sachin & Saloni)
Sachin & Saloni started trying to grow their family in January 2021, but their first surprise was discovering they might need some intervention after quite some time of trying ‘naturally’. This realization made Saloni question things she heard in her late teens and twenties, such that if you don’t use contraception you will fall pregnant straight away. Well, it was a shock when it didn't come true for her.
So, they saw their GP and had some tests undertaken. They were told that there was nothing apparently wrong, it might be unexplained infertility. So, they went to the local IVF clinic where they had two rounds of IVF but were unsuccessful. Their impatience turned into desperation. From 'when' we have kids… to 'if' we have kids… was devastating for the couple.
Before going for the third round of IVF Saloni began to question whether she had confidence in the doctor at the fertility clinic. She said, "I really had no faith or confidence in the protocols that they were adopting, so I started looking for other options." Around the same time, Saloni's friend who had previous successful IUI treatment with Crysta IVF recommended it to Saloni.
The couple consulted the Crysta IVF clinic in Surat and sought our views on what might be going wrong. After speaking with Dr. Nidhi Sehrawet, they had undergone additional fertility tests. After thoroughly analyzing their tests, Dr. Nidhi diagnosed that Saloni had a very high level of NK (natural killer) cells that might be attacking the embryos and resulting in miscarriages. The couple said they were so disheartened with their local clinic and the 'one-size fits all' approach that they were adopting for the treatment.
But here at Crysta IVF, Dr. Nidhi planned an individualized customized protocol for Saloni to normalize NK cells level with medications, whilst going through IVF. As a result of that one cycle at Crysta IVF, Saloni is now in the 4th month of a healthy pregnancy. The couple was over the moon and is now planning a welcome party when the newborn will arrive.
