According to the report, it is estimated that almost 1 in 6 married couples suffers from infertility. Infertility is when a couple cannot conceive a child for over a year due to certain health conditions in females, males, or both. Such couples might require medical intervention such as assisted reproduction in order to get pregnant.
आईवीएफ प्रक्रिया एक जटिल प्रक्रिया है जिसका उपयोग प्रजनन क्षमता को बढ़ाने, आनुवंशिक समस्याओं को रोकने और बच्चे के गर्भधारण में सहायता करने के लिए किया जाता है। आईवीएफ के दौरान, अंडाशय से परिपक्व अंडे एकत्र किए जाते हैं और एक प्रयोगशाला में शुक्राणु द्वारा निषेचित किए जाते हैं। फिर निषेचित अंडे (भ्रूण) को गर्भाशय में स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाता है।
एक एकल आईवीएफ चक्र- जिसे ओवेरियन उत्तेजना, अंडे की पुनर्प्राप्ति और भ्रूण स्थानांतरण के रूप में परिभाषित किया गया है- केंद्र और रोगी की व्यक्तिगत दवा की जरूरतों के आधार पर रुपये 1,00,000 से रुपये 3,00,000 तक हो सकता है। दवाएं उन शुल्कों का 35% तक का हिसाब कर सकती हैं।
