IVF begins with stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. These are then retrieved and fertilized in a lab with sperm.

The key moment in IVF is the embryo transfer which is a painless procedure that places the fertilized egg back into the uterus.

After the embryo transfer, it’s all about patience. You’ll usually wait about 10 to 14 days before taking a pregnancy test.
