Manisha and Jai from Pune started trying for a baby at 30. Though they were living an active, healthy plant-based lifestyle but infertility doesn't discriminate. After a year of worth trying they consulted a local doctor, where Manisha had some basic fertility tests.
The majority of her tests yielded normal results, this was a relief for them. After trying for several months again, Manisha went for a fertility test in a nearby clinic which again didn't show any signs of abnormality, so the couple was referred to see a fertility expert in the city. In search of a fertility expert, they found out about Crysta IVF. They booked an appointment and met our senior infertility specialist Dr. Kishore Pandit.
The fertility tests were taken for both women and men who can have problems that cause infertility. It was found that it's actually the malefactor that was preventing natural conception. Semen analysis revealed a very low concentration of normal sperm. Normally, sperm travel along a specific path to reach the egg, but if there isn’t enough sperm that can make the way to the egg, chances of natural conception become extremely low.
So, IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) was performed on them where a carefully single sperm was selected and injected directly into an egg. The treatment was successful with the first attempt and their dream of parenthood got real.
Dr. Kishore later explained in his talks that it is important to understand that infertility is everyone's problem and not just a woman's issue. Therefore, we must analyze the issue from both aspects.
